ESCALATOR CHAOS AT THE UNITED NATIONS

Just moments before President Donald Trump was set to address world leaders at the United Nations, an unexpected mishap left everyone stunned. The escalator carrying the former president and First Lady Melania Trump suddenly came to a halt, forcing them to walk the rest of the way up as staff scrambled to understand what went wrong. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt immediately demanded an investigation, calling the incident “potential sabotage” after reports suggested some UN employees had joked about restricting Trump’s access.

UN officials, however, denied foul play, explaining that a videographer walking backward to film the couple had accidentally triggered a built-in safety mechanism. Trump later used the moment as comic relief during his speech, joking that “the escalator stopped halfway up — but at least Melania’s in great shape.” He also quipped about a teleprompter glitch that followed, drawing laughter from the crowd. The mishaps, though minor, underscored the ongoing tension between Trump and the UN — and reminded everyone that even global diplomacy can have its awkward moments.
