State of Mexico.- This Wednesday, November 20, a\u00a0\u00a0multiple collision<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0occurred on the\u00a0\u00a0Mexico-Quer\u00e9taro Highway<\/strong>\u00a0, at kilometer\u00a0\u00a0059+000<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0in\u00a0\u00a0Huehuetoca, State of Mexico<\/strong>\u00a0. The accident involved a\u00a0\u00a0trailer<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0that, after being unable to stop in time, collided with several vehicles. As a result, the vehicle ended up across the road, occupying all three north-south lanes of traffic, causing a\u00a0\u00a0partial closure<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0of the highway.<\/p>\n

The incident occurred as the trailer was traveling toward\u00a0\u00a0Mexico City<\/strong>\u00a0. Failing to brake in time before the\u00a0\u00a0Jorobas<\/strong>\u00a0intersection , the driver crashed into a bank and then struck\u00a0\u00a0five cars and a pickup truck<\/strong>\u00a0. Due to the\u00a0\u00a0wet<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0road conditions caused by the\u00a0 day\u2019s\u00a0rain<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0, it is suspected that road conditions may have played a role in the accident, although authorities will investigate the cause.<\/p>\n

Paramedics arrived at the scene to treat the\u00a0\u00a0injured , who had minor injuries. Although no\u00a0<\/strong>serious injuries<\/strong>\u00a0were reported\u00a0\u00a0, the paramedics recommended that some be checked out at the hospital to avoid possible complications.<\/p>\n
