He revealed that he had been silently living with a\u00a0<strong data-start=\"901\" data-end=\"922\">genetic condition<\/strong>\u00a0that caused chronic kidney failure.<\/p>\n<div class=\"google-auto-placed ap_container\">\n<p data-start=\"962\" data-end=\"1216\">\u201cIn 2006, I was diagnosed with a genetic defect that has led to chronic kidney disease,\u201d he wrote. \u201cAfter a rough summer, I\u2019m now undergoing dialysis as we search for a kidney transplant. This challenge has reminded me how blessed I am to have such amazing family, friends, and community support.
