My friend and I were having dinner at a trendy restaurant when she suddenly noticed tiny black specks on the salad\u00a0\"😲\"\"😲\". At first, we thought they were chia seeds, but those little balls started to move\u00a0\"😱\". I called the waiter over in shock\u00a0\"😲\". We just wanted a peaceful dinner. Nothing fancy \u2013 a cozy restaurant in the city center, fragrant dishes, soft music. But the evening turned into a real nightmare. My friend ordered a salad with avocado and quinoa. Everything looked delicious, until she suddenly froze, her fork halfway to her mouth.<\/p>\n

Do you see that? she asked, pointing at something on the plate. On the surface of the salad were tiny black specks that looked like chia seeds. For a moment, we even thought: \u201cMaybe it\u2019s just spices or some trendy topping.\u201d But her face grew more tense.<\/p>\n

These aren\u2019t seeds\u2026 Look, they\u2019re\u2026 moving? We leaned in closer \u2013 and our blood ran cold. Those \u201cseeds\u201d were actually moving. Tiny, almost transparent spheres with dark dots inside\u2026 They were eggs. Some kind of insect eggs. Right there in the food. First came the shock, then the screaming. Waiters rushed over, trying to explain, but we were already calling an ambulance. We had no idea what creature had laid those eggs \u2013 or whether we had eaten any. My friend started panicking \u2013 out of fear or nausea.<\/p>\n

At the hospital, they examined us, ran tests, prescribed medication \u201cjust in case,\u201d and told us to monitor for symptoms. As for the restaurant \u2013 of course we filed a complaint. They tried to excuse it as a \u201ctechnical error\u201d or \u201cspoiled ingredients from a supplier,\u201d but it didn\u2019t matter. After a dinner like that, trust is gone. Ever since then, every time I see chia seeds \u2013 I remember that night.<\/p>\n
