Rob Reiner\u2019s eldest daughter has spoken out regarding the death of her father.<\/p>\n

Reiner, the beloved and highly-successful Hollywood filmmaker, was reportedly found dead alongside his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, at the couple\u2019s home in Brentwood, California yesterday, December 14.<\/p>\n

According to TMZ, the couple allegedly both suffered lacerations consistent with a knife. LAPD\u2019s Robbery Homicide Division is currently investigating.<\/p>\n

\n

A spokesperson for the Reiner family confirmed their deaths on yesterday evening.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is with profound sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of Michele and Rob Reiner,\u201d the spokesperson said in a statement. \u201cWe are heartbroken by this sudden loss, and we ask for privacy during this unbelievably difficult time.\u201d<\/p>\n

LAPD chief detective Alan Hamilton revealed during a press conference that the investigation was ongoing.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt this time, the LAPD is not seeking anyone as a suspect or as a person of interest \u2026 and we will not be doing that until we conduct our investigation and we move forward,\u201d Hamilton said.<\/p>\n

Rob and Michele shared three kids \u2013\u2013 Jake, Nick and Romy together. Rob also had a daughter, Tracy, from his first marriage to Penny Marshall.<\/p>\n

Tracy was the first of Rob\u2019s children to break their silence following the heartbreaking incident, telling NBC News\u2019 entertainment correspondent Chloe Melas that she is \u2018in shock\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cI came from the greatest family ever,\u201d Tracy said. I don\u2019t know what to say. I\u2019m in shock.\u201d<\/p>\n

Reiner and Singer Reiner, 68, had been married since 1989, having met on the set of the iconic romantic comedy When Harry Met Sally.<\/p>\n
